Marco's nursery / 1 - The decor
By Suze on Jan 30, 2012 | In Home Decor, The Blue House, Baby

Knock knock...
Welcome to Marco's room!

The nursery is still a work in progress (and normally not so tidy as in the pics) but I like it so much.
The cabinet is the only furniture piece we actually bought for this room that used to be my studio.
I totally love this cabinet, we could choose the color and the style of the finishing and I think it will last for years, even when Marco will be grown up.
As of now it contains Marco's wardrobe and believe me, I wish I had in MY wardrobe such a stylish mix of vintage + new + handmade + branded + thrifted pieces! :) Only one month old and already so fashionable... :)
A globe for my little explorer.

Cute tiny soldier.

We're very proud of this bunting garland: handmade by myself and my mum, do you like it? Soon on these pages the full tutorial for a DIY!

We bought these fairy tales postcards at Hans Christian Andersen's House Museum in Denmark .

The basket and the old chest of wicker drawers were lined in baby blue fabric by my mum.

This fabulous deer head trophy by Miho Unexpected was there already since when this room was my studio. I love it!

The Circus Strong Man and his girlfriend the Bearded Woman are by Contemori, one of the very first presents I bought for my baby boy.
So very special...
They live with the rocking Whale.

HELP! I got these sweet mini-sculptures in Bolzano Christmas Market few years ago. I remember the artist selling them was a nice friendly girl. She gave me her biz card and I remember visiting her website. If I'm not wrong she was from Bologna an the name of her line of sculptures ha somthing to do with "moon" and/or "bunny rabbit" and/or the color "purple". These are all the clues I have... Do you know her? Can you help me? Also this trapezist piggy is from the same artist.

Something is missing, isnt' it?

In fact the baby changing table has been moved to the bathroom: much easier!
And the cradle? It's so special it deserves a dedicated post on its own: you'll see it tomorrow if you will check back here... See you tomorrow!
