As promised here's some pics of a baby shower we've had back in december.

We've had the pleasure to have friends over in different occcasions to celebrate before the birth of Marco but this specific day holds a special place for me. Laura and Lelo, Gaia, Ale, Federica with GG, Michi&Luca were there and that was the biggest gift of the day.

I told you already but, thank you friends for coming, it meant a lot and it made me happy!

If you know the BonBon girls you can imagine I tried to put a special care in this micro event of mine. But  in the end I was more interested in welcoming and chatting with my friends, eating, unwrapping the gorgeous gorgeous presents for Marco and enjoying the moment rather than obsessing over every detail or even rather than taking pics... So not everything turned out as I wanted or planned (for example no stationery at all for my party: ironic, isn't it?) and the photos are not very good but anyway, here you go!



I didn't want the whole thing to be too sappy so no happy storks nor cradles nor tiny pacifiers in the decor for me. The color palette was cream + pale blue, one of my favorite combinations also beacuse our house is light blue on the outside and I love white interiors as you can see, and given the wintry season I wanted warm wool and wood to be in. I've prepared woolen pom poms and the idea was to hang a garland but then I've decided to use them to decorate the glasses. Isn't that cute?

Homemade meringues - thank you mamy!

My belly was pretty big at that time so I really didn't feel able to prepare a complete lunch or dinner for my guests. I felt slightly guilty for that but I've decided for an afternoon buffet instead, with focaccia, Parma ham, homemade meringues and cakes AND the fabulous custom cake that I've ordered and Ale prepared for me. A real beauty and super yummy! White chocolate cream inside!











And finally the little party favors. I bought these adorable boxes in a craft supplies shop in London long before my pregnancy and I thougth they were ideal to use in this special occasion!





Inside the boxes I've put mini-bags of handmade (by yours truly!) chocolates. Any baby boy would like the shapes: tiny cars, lego pieces, teddy bears and rocking horses. In white chocolate of course: my favorite!
