Xmas 2011 - Pinecones decor inspiration
By Suze on Dec 26, 2011 | In Christmas 2011
Who says after Christmas you have to put away your holiday decor until next year??? Personally I like to keep it up in my home at least until January 6th! Specially if the decor is more generically "wintry" than strictly related to Christmas itself.
You know already how much I love the decor created with pine branches or green plants this year. And there's another inexpensive, eco-friendly, aromatic seasonal gift from nature that can be used: pinecones! If you have some pretty ones gathered during any recent walk in the woods or in the park, here's some inspiration on how to use them!
The easiest idea to replicate yet so pretty is to use pinecones as hanging ornaments: they have a perfect shape for this is't it?

Pinecones are also great used in wintry topiaries such as these:

And finally, even a "simple" pinecone will become a precious design object under a glass dome!
