Last minute DIY napkin wrappers

Hello! Today I want to show you a mini project I've created in 5 minutes few weeks ago. We had people for lunch and I was late, nothing formal at all but I hate random or dull table settings. So while finishing the cooking I've prepared these napkin "rings" or wrappers.

I went for a country shabby effect using the lavender we have in our garden and I was happy of the result but of course you could do the same and - I'm sure - even much better with other types of fresh or dried flowers or even with other objects with suitable long and thin shape: feathers, pencils, ribbon, twine, candycane...

Here's how to.
MATERIALS NEEDED
- Medium weight cardstock in a color or pattern of choice
- Zig-Zag or decorative scissors (optional)
- Paper hole puncher
- Adhesive tape
- Flowers, better long thin stems, ideally without leaves (I suggest to avoid flowers that are too much watery: they could stain the napkins and they wither quickly...)

HOW TO
- Cut stripes of cardstock and finish off with decorative scissors.
- Punch 2 holes at the center of each stripe.
- Wrap the stripe around the napkin, close with tape on the back.
- Insert the stem of your flower in the holes.
Done!
In my case since I realized we were 6 and the matching napkins I wanted to use were only 4 (ehm... And not perfectly ironed as you can see...) I've decided to alternate with another color.

I think is a cute idea for when you don't have time but still want to personalize the table setting, right?
Have a lovely day!
PS: My beloved EAT. napkins are by Emerson Made, bought at One Sydney Road.
