Shopping at Contemori - Bottega Creativa in Pistoia

Last weekend in Pistoia I've visited an adorable shop: Contemori - Bottega Creativa.

Maybe because it's my not-so-secret dream, I'm always so excited when an online project becomes also a brick and mortar shop, so I was thrilled to see that Laura Contemori was launching "the real" bottega! I've been drooling over Laura Contemori's creations online for quite a while now (remember this post?) and in a sunny Saturday morning I finally I got my hands on some of them.

Contemori shop itself is a delightful space for structure and decor (I think I'll steal the idea of the wooden chandelier very soon...), with a big desk for the counter and the sewing machine (Laura works here) a huge blackboard and a cupboard full of fabric and supplies... Although I do love shopping on Etsy, being in a physical shop and having the chance to talk to the so friendly and sweet owner (grazie ancora Laura!) is much much better and, believe me, Contemori creations look even more irresistible in real life!

So what did I buy?

But The Circus Strong Man and his girlfriend the Bearded Woman of course! Laura told me they're more popular abroad than in Italy, but personally I find they're the most beautiful and unusual items in her catalogue. I'm absolutely in love whith this purchase! Seen at close distance they're so perfectly well crafted and feel so good to touch...
