Sneak peek: Our new kitchen is here! Yay!

Ok, I wanted to wait until it's complete, I wanted to take better pictures than these random snapshots, but I couldn't resist to show you! So what do you think???

I have to say we're both super happy about how it looks like! Not "wanna-be-modern" and not "artificial-rustic", simple and sweet, love the neutral colors and the natural materials, the effect is welcoming and I surely hope it will be liveable and practical too.

As you can see the hood is still missing due to a mistaken order number or something and should be with us in one week or so... There's no table yet nor chairs but - you will laugh at me - I couldn't help bringing a couple of cute little accessories... :) Here's some other random pics. I'd love to hear what you think and any decor idea is very welcome!

PS: I'm not sure you can see it from the photos, but I decided to have wooden floor in the kitchen too, a part from the area immediately close to the appliances and sink. Does any of you have wooden floor in the kitchen? Any tip for maintenance or little secret to avoid it's a disaster after 6 months???

Another concern: the kitchen top is made of a compound of natural marble, not as delicate (nor expensive!) as marble itself but still... Again, any trick to keep it beautiful?

Che bella la tua nuova cucina! adoro il bianco! abbiamo lo stesso rubinetto e la stessa alzatina!
Insomma: auguri e complimenti! la cucina e' il centro di ogni casa, e' l'angolo piu' personale e vero...e da questa cucina intravedo cose che mi piacciono!
