A little quiz. What do you see in Dario Zeruto's homepage image? Cotton candy? White sand dunes?
Wrong. This is paper, handmade paper.
And with paper, cotton, silk Dario creates amazing objects, suspended between craftsmanship and art. You can call them "art-books", but they're actually closer to sculptures, with inspiration coming from mathematics, poetry, science, nature... Magic shapes and unique materials, textures, techniques.

Dario lives between Milano and Barcelona and besides exhibiting his creations he works on multiple projects and teaches creative binding in courses and workshops (If you are in Milano area, see here and here to learn more).
"Diario da passeggio per pensieri di passaggio" (reads more or less "Portable diary for thoughts passing by") is a project by Dario Zeruto and Cristina del Buono, limited edition. "...counting the days, keeping a diary, collecting pages and thoughts, an object-book, pocket size, perpatual..."
This project will lead us directly to the artist I want to feature in my next post: get ready for an Italian illustrator you'll love!
