Beautiful Today: Nicoletta Ceccoli illustrations, tender and cruel

I'm so intrigued by the work of the Italian illustrator and artist Nicoletta Ceccoli: tender and cruel at the same time, romantic and dark, like in any really good fairy tale. I love her poetic little mutant misses surrounded in dreamy mistery. Cute and spooky.
Go and see her portfolio in better quality: you'll be smitten!
I have a pile of postcards with Nicoletta illustrations. My favorite are probably the ones with the goldfishes: surreal. (Click on the image below to enlarge).
Nicoletta Ceccoli (San Marino - Italy, 1973) has illustrated many books, mainly in Italy, in the USA and in the UK. Her multi-award winning work has been exhibited in several galleries in the world. (Larger bio here). All the images in this post are from Nicoletta Ceccoli website.
